Harold Councilman is a native of Bear Creek, NC where he maintains
residence. He is a 1972 graduate of Elon College. Upon graduation,
Harold joined a Greensboro accounting firm. In October 1977,
he and a partner Dale Farlow purchased the firm and formed
Councilman, Farlow & Co., LLP. Harold is a member
of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants
and the American Institue of Certified Public Accountants.

Renee Cruthis is a native of Greensboro, NC. She graduated with high honors from Guilford College in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She has worked in public accounting since 1989. She worked as a staff accountant with Jackson, Marlowe & Co, PA until 1997 when she became a partner with Debbie Marlowe and formed Marlowe & Associates, PA. In 2005, they merged practices with another local firm and formed Councilman Farlow Marlowe & Co, PLLC. Renee is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Joseph Patrick Davis, CPA #29352

Joseph Davis is a native of Virginia and received his bachelor's
degree in accounting and a masters degree in tax from Virginian
Polytechnic Institute and State University. He has previously
worked as Controller for a manufactured housing company; been
a management consultant for an international consulting firm
in Chicago Illinois and was Plant Accountant for a textile
company in Virginia.
Sandra A Savageau, CPA #25376
A native of New Hampshire, Sandra A Savageau, moved to Greensboro, North Carolina at the age of 5. She graduated from Greensboro College in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. In 1992, while still in school, she was employed by Marlowe & Associates. She obtained her CPA license in 1997 and remained employed by Marlowe & Associates as a staff accountant. When Marlowe & Associates merged, she made the move with them and continues to be employed as a staff accountant for Councilman, Farlow, Marlowe & Co. PLLC. Sandra is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Farlow is a native of Trinity, NC. He is a 1972 graduate of
the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He joined
a greensboro firm and with Harold purchased the firm now known
as Councilman, Farlow & Co., LLP. Dale is a member
of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants
and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He served
as president of the Piedmont Chapter of the NC Association
of CPAs for the year ending May 2000.
Debra A. Marlowe, CPA #14587

Debra Marlowe is a native of Lexington, NC, but lived throughout the United States and abroad as a dependant of her Air Force father. Upon graduation in 1976 from Wayne Community College in Goldsboro, NC, she has worked her entire career in public accounting. In 1979 she went to work for A.M. Pullen in Hickory, NC then started working for Joe A. Jackson, CPA after moving to Greensboro. She became partner in 1985, one year after obtaining her CPA certificate. January 1, 1997 she and partner Renee Cruthis purchased the firm which then became Marlowe & Associates, P.A. Councilman Farlow & Co., L.L.P. merged with Marlowe & Associates, P.A. in November 2005 to form Councilman, Farlow, Marlowe &Co., PLLC. Debbie is a member of North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Robert J. Cates, CPA# 25095
Robert J. Cates is a native of Jamestown, NC. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Guilford College and a masters degree in liberal studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He began his professional career in public accounting in 1995. He has also been the Chief Financial Officer and Controller for a clinical laboratory. He is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the America Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
